Operable Walls
Operable walls aren’t intended to be reconfigured as moveable walls are. Instead, they are made to be regularly opened, closed or pivoted to divide or open large spaces. Operable walls are found everywhere, in hotel banquet rooms, restaurants, conference centers, auditoriums, gyms and retail stores. Every installation is custom-designed and engineered around the building. Solid operable walls are usually clad with acoustic fabric, vinyl wallcovering or white board. They are manufactured with a range of acoustic permeability, which is referred to as the STC (sound transmission coefficient). Operable walls can also be made with pivoting tempered glass and can make beautiful storefronts for retails shops or restaurants as well as homes.
